The decision came two and a half years after lodging the case that alleged the Morrison Government broke its own laws when assessing Adani\u2019s water-guzzling mine. The Federal Court has ruled in favour of the claim. Water is so precious anywhere let alone on our continent and Adani had planned to use 12.5B Litres.<br><br>26th May 2021<br>Official counts of the black-throated finch at the Carmichael coal mine site recorded an 82% drop between 2019 and 2020, according to the first official survey conducted for Adani. The small bird proved to be the one of the biggest hurdles to the mine\u2019s approval, with Adani\u2019s management plan for the finch&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/link\/follow-20170101-p51t4m\">finally getting the green light in 2019<\/a>.
